Traffic Goal Calculator

Work backwards from your revenue goal to find out how many visitors you actually need — per month, per week and per day.

Your goal

Average order value, or average value of a new customer/lead.
The share of visitors who become a paying customer or lead. Not sure? Pick a business type above for a typical starting estimate.

We work backwards from your goal: sales needed = revenue goal ÷ average value per sale. Then visitors needed = sales needed ÷ conversion rate. That monthly visitor number is then divided into weekly (÷ 4.345) and daily (÷ 30) targets.

Typical conversion rate benchmarks: ecommerce stores often convert around 1–3%, local service businesses 3–5% on lead forms, B2B/SaaS sign-ups 1–3%, and content/info product sites 1–2% on email or product opt-ins. These vary widely — use your own data once you have it.

Once you know how much traffic you need, check the Free Traffic Strategies guide for organic channels, or the Paid Traffic & Advertising guide and Ad Budget Allocator if you plan to pay for some of it.
